Bacci helps to fight cancer in Rochester, NY September 30th
Hey Bacci fans!
Peter and Paul are taking a day out from working on the new tracks to spend their time coming back home for a worthy cause. On September 30th, the duo will be doing a special performance at the Artisan Works building in memory of Tracy Springer...
Tracy Springer was a happy, healthy, energetic young woman who was diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 31 in August of 2005. She always had her annual
gynecological check up. The tests never revealed that she had a HPV (Human Papillomavirus). Since the cancer had invaded her lymph system, she had radiation andchemotherapy treatments, which made her so sick, she was unable to work. Treatments lasted about 10 weeks and as she regained her strength she returned to work and her normal routines. She thought she had “beaten it.”
In the summer of 2008, Tracy was experiencing on-going back aches, and in October, Tracy was told the cancer had returned. Again, she started the painful and frustrating treatments. Her medical bills and living expenses were overwhelming and it was becoming increasingly difficult for Tracy to live life with any semblance of comfort, while also dealing with this incredibly trying time.
With the help of her friends and family, Tracy was involved in the planning of, what started as a cocktail party to help her offset some of these expenses, and turned out to be an incredible fundraiser! Over 700 friends and family gathered together at Northfield Food & Drink and raised, not only enough to take care of Tracy’s needs, but enough to help carry on her legacy.
On April 4th of 2009, Tracy’s Hope was born!
Tracy lost her battle May 1, 2009, but she wouldn’t let losing her life to this terrible disease quell her legacy and impact on the World. Having raised much more than was needed, Tracy made it clear that it was her Hope to help educate and vaccinate young women and men against the Human Papillomavirus, in hopes that they wouldn’t struggle with this devastating cancer.
To that end, the Tracy’s Hope Foundation has been formed as an officially incorporated not-for-profit organization funded through private and public donations to provide financial assistance for the education and/or immunizations for young people who cannot afford health insurance.
Bacci is pleased to announce they will be apart of this event

Bacci prepping up for the recording of the new album
Bacci is preparing for the long awaited 3rd album. Peter and Paul have been writing songs for the past 5 years and have more than enough material to put out for a new album. It's been pretty difficult to trim down to what we actually want to release. We are planning to track with Bryan Smith in Williamsburg and also some tracking with 10x10 music. Actual tracking dates will be at the end of July and basics with drums and bass will hopefully be completed during that time. Mike Chiavaro and Red Wierenga will be on the roster as well as a bunch of other artists that we have been performing with for the past couple of years. We are super pumped about the new stuff. Check out our tumblr account periodically as we'll be posting roughs and ideas that we've been using to work out the new material.
Check out the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/bacciband for more information on shows in the New York area and how to contact the band.

April Power Weekend New York City!!!
Bacci is stacked with a power house of shows all week long starting April 14th, 15th and 16th.
On April 14th, the band will be hitting two of their New York residencies. First at 6pm until 8pm, Bacci duo performs at the 44 Live music series, hosted by James Kinney from James Kinney Live at the Royalton Hotel, Forty Four. Since December, Bacci has been winning over clientele, and fans, performing originals and covers by their favorite artists.
Coming directly afterward, the band will be cruising up to Dinosaur BBQ to perform at their favorite Harlem hotspot. For the past 5 years, Bacci has been performing at this institution of "Blues, BBQ and Booze" and taking the "Blues" and replacing it with BACCI. The most recent Dinosaur BBQ visits have been accompanied by some of Bacci's friends, but this week, will be the boys laying it down by themselves. Ramping up every week, Peter and Paul are getting together writing the new album and in the works is art work and photography.
Friday night, the band will be doing a mostly cover set at Session 73 for good fun on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Rarely does the group do weekend shows in the city because of the members rigorous playing schedule with other groups, but we figure this weekend will be a good one to stretch out and have a good time. The show will start at 11pm and the band expects a great turnout.
Saturday night, a band dropped out and Bacci decided to step in at the Old Bay in New Brunswick, making it the 3rd appearance in New Jersey in a month! The group will be going out as a trio and rocking the house as they hit one of their favorite full band rock spots in New Brunswick! 10pm at 61 Church Street.
Starting in July, the boys will be hitting a studio in Williamsburg with Bryan Smith formerly of Clinton Studios. Bryan has worked with several recording artists including Donald Fagen, Lauryn Hill, Chaka Khan, Roseanne Cash and many others. He has worked for films including The Aviator and Dreamgirls along with doing television series work including the 2006 and 07' Tony Awards and shows such as Top Chef and Project Runway. Bryan will be engineering the basics for bassist Mike Chiavaro, keyboardist Red Wierenga, and Paul Amorese. Peter will be doing his guitar basics and possibly vocals there as well. The new studio is where MGMT recorded some of the material for their hit record, "Oracular Spectacular" so we are hoping to have some of that good luck spread to us.

Royalton, Dinosaur, Old Bay + Paddy's Day= Party Week!!!
Bacci to rock Old Bay on Saturday in New Brunswick... One of our favorite bars to play in all of New Jersey, The Old Bay has been in our calendar frequently for the past couple of years.
A little info on the place:
Has absolutely nothing to do with the seasoning that rocks any type of meat and helps bloody mary's do their job on hangover mornings. We assume it's name is N'awlins based... duh...
The Old Bay Restaurant is New Jersey's premier New Orleans-style restaurant. Their dinner menu features gourmet French Creole and Cajun cuisine, steaks and seafood. Their award-winning draft beer list features 22 taps pouring the finest micro-brewed imported domestic beer you can find. Enjoy a drink from their full bar - from the Hurricane to the Mint Julep, The Old Bay has got a Specialty Drink for you.
After 10pm, The Old Bay transforms itself into a sophisticated night spot with outrageous drink promotions and the best live entertainment in central New Jersey. We have multiple festivals, events and specials with tons of food, entertainment and fun. (Insert Bacci plug here- woot)
They currently occupy the former National Bank of New Jersey in New Brunswick which was constructed in 1857. The interior design of the restaurant was a result of numerous trips to New Orleans, and countless hours of conceptual, layout, and architectural work. In 2004, the interior of The Old Bay was completely renovated with additional bar seating and a decor that reminds one of Mardi Gras!

Also don't forget to check us out this week at Royalton Hotel and Dinosaur in Harlem for Paddy's Week!!!

BACCI rocks Paddys Day this WEEK in Harlem
Corned beef and cabbage? Try a slow cooked, juicy, melt in your mouth piece of smokey brisket from Dinosaur BBQ, with a little creamy slaw on the side... The perfect base for your stomach after gallons of green beer and Guinness.... This Thursday, the band will be performing an array of tunes, original, cover and Irish...
To kick off the first set of music, our good friend Christian Oates (Dexter Lake Club Band, Infinity Spaceship) will be providing some Irish tunes to get everybody ramped up for the festivities...Christian also frequently sits in with the band at our Thursdays at Dinosaur.
Our other guest that evening hails from Queens New York and sounds like The Reverend Horton Heat ate Incubus for breakfast... Bacci will be backing him up for a few tunes as he makes his performance debut in Harlem!!!
Bacci is also getting ready to record their new album starting at the end of April so stay tuned to frequent updates on that! If you would like a preview to the fun...

This Wednesday at The Royalton from 5-8pm
Ramping up for another week at the Royalton.... Spread the word about the band rocking out here on Wednesdays in March!!! We are looking forward to carrying out the month at one of the hottest spots in Manhattan.
Definitely a great date spot... A friend of the band came a few weeks ago with a girl he had been seeing after work, they stayed the entire night and had an amazing experience. Food, off the chain, drinks, fresh and flowing, and of course the live music... provided by BACCI!!!!
My boy Ricky Sixx approves... just admire how inviting his gaze is....
Bacci just ripped like 4 new tunes out this past weekend and they were a hit!!! Royalton will definitely have the honor of hearing what we have to say his week...
Wut!!!!

Mardi Gras success!!!
Above is a little snippet from the band recreating the picture that showed up in the Insider Magazine for Saturdays show...
Bacci had a FANtastic showing the entire weekend this past weekend for the Dinosaur BBQ, Easy and Williamsport shows!
New tunes, drinks, the whole nine yards...
The two brand new songs, Never a Devil May Care (which is about people taking themselves too seriously) and So Vague (about a guy feeling like he can't give a girl what she wants because he later finds out she doesn't like guys) were smash hits with the crowds all weekend. With Never A Devil May Care, there are interactive shout choruses like call and response from Bacci to the crowd. "You Clap You Clap", ' we keep playing' "We Sing We Sing" 'you sing back' "you Shout you Shout" etc....
Beads were also all over the place the whole weekend... I had to pick a few out of my suitcase....
Here's a snapshot of the actual article from the Insider...

Bacci at Royalton Hotel New York City 44 Live Music Series
Bacci is performing every Wednesday in March at the sheik, posh Midtown East hotel bar, Forty Four. Since it's inception, the 44 Live Music series, led by the creative mind of James Kinney (performer, marketer, actor) has been bringing us nothing but true artists ranging from artists like Anna Rose to Norah Jones' opener Sasha Dobson. www.sashadobson.com
What makes Royalton 44 Live Music Series the place to be?
First off, the staff is amazing....
Mixologists are making your drinks in the fashion of going to downtown speakeasy type bars like P.D.T. (Please Don't Tell) and Brooklyn hub The Richardson. Both P.D.T. and the The Richardson have their shtick of not putting their sign up so it makes the room a sought after joint, where most people WILL walk by it a few times before figuring out what it actually is. P.D.T. even goes a step further and puts a telephone booth out front, to where you have to walk in, pick up the phone and on the other end is the hostess whom will either tell you "you have the wrong number" or open the "wall" of the booth to let you in. (Actually is pretty neat if you've never been) The mixologists at Forty Four are shielded by see through fireplaces (i know, rite??) , couches in the 70's decor almost bringing you to the set of a Quentin Terrantino film, and 2 enormous automatic doors that open automatically upon arrival giving you the feeling "we've been expecting you" a la some old James Bond film.
What is a mixologist exactly???
Well, that's up for debate.... Amateurs would call them glorified bartenders, pros would say "amazing drinks but I deserve a scotch" and the rest of the public is looking to them in awe after tasting their perfectly crafted drinks, going from a simple gin and tonic all the way to a step by step drink involving aged Jamaican rum, fresh squeezed organic lemon and orange juice with house made grenadine, shaken, and served up with a dusting of nutmeg. (If your mouth just watered, the drink is called a Stone Place) These guys even craft the type of ice cubes you have to use for certain masterpiece cocktails... Gotta love that... I would just as much use cubes from a bag of ice bought from a gas station for every drink, but these guys have a plan!
The important ingredient to the whole mix.....
BACCI (of course) ....
This place brings the band back to the beginnings... where it all started.... Lola Bistro Rochester, NY. Lola had the "je ne sais quoi" of Rochester, bringing that classy New York vibe that places like Balthazar and Pastis were emanating in NYC, well before the restaurants "premier jour"... Bacci found Lola in Rochester when drummer Paul Amorese accompanied the owner Johnny D on a late night walk through as it was being gutted. The place used to be a greek restaurant and John thought it had some potential so he bought it out (not to mention it was connected to his, at that time, most successful bar Oxfords on Monroe Ave.) Once the place went up, Amorese, pitched the idea of having a photo shoot for Bacci's debut album "Hey Girl" in the way back of the place to give the album a swanky, players club vibe. Soon after the album released, Bacci, brought a copy to John through friend/rapper/painter Greg Impelletier whom at the time was painting Johns house, and John decided to give the group a shot on Friday nights. One Friday turned to 2 which turned to every Friday for a year. There were people crunching up against each other to get in every week....
TODAY, Bacci is in a reminiscent situation. 8 years after the "glory days" of Lola, the band is in New York City performing several different "off the beaten path" venues acquiring fans at every turn. The band thrives on the "players only" scene, where you can have a martini, talk to a lovely lady and listen to some great music that isn't just straight jazz (which is what you usually get in a martini bar). The 44 Live Music series is Bacci's new Lola.
Come down and see what all the fuss is about this month.
Wednesday evenings in March 2011 6-9pm...
